RAFT RACE 2012
I was so tied up from morning till afternoon on Friday, but nevertheless, dropped in rather late by half hour or so at Marina Crescent, only to have missed the Raft Race 2012. I was told to be there, if not in the morning, at least for the finals at 2pm. Nope I couldn't make it on time. I saw participants taking their raft on to the shore after the race. Some pictures from 'after the event'. I hope I can watch the next Raft race in 2013! For those of you, who missed yesterday's Raft Race, well, there's some good news, the Aqua Park Raft Race 2012 is scheduled for Friday, 11 May, 2012. I will have to miss this one too, as we'll be travelling to the U.S. by then.
WOMAN WITH BROKEN NOSE SUES APPLE FOR $ 1 MILLION DOLLARS
Evelyn Paswall, 83 year old former Manhattan fur-company vice president, went to Apple store in Long Island, USA, to return an iPhone on December 13 and walked right into the glass door, smashed her face against it and broke her nose. She didn't realize there was a glass door. She told the media that her eyesight is still 'good for driving'. She is now suing Apple for $ 1 million dollars!. Paswall claimed in her lawsuit that the company was negligent not elderly-proofing the store's see-through facade. She said Apple should have put marks on the glass so that older people could spot before they face any disaster.

ROBERTO CAVALLI EAU DE PARFUM FOR WOMEN
Robert Cavalli has launched a beautiful new perfume for women. It's called Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum for Her. I tried it out yesterday while I was at Debenhams and the fragrance was floral, sweet and oriental.
The Top notes contain pink pepper; middle notes are comprissed of African orange blossom and base notes have nuances of vanilla, tonka bean and nuances of Benzoin. The perfume is developed by Louise Turner of Givaudan.
Besides the perfume, the bottle looks attractive with a golden tiara shaped stopper, the designer's initials and leopard print on the neck of the bottle. Golden shades and leopard print decorate the packaging as well. If you have a penchant for oriental-floral fragrances, you are going to like this.
