24 CARAT GOLD PLATED LUXURY SPORTS CAR INFINITI G 37

The 24 carat gold plated INFINITY G37 Convertible luxury sports car was put outside a jewellery store in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu province on March 31st 2011.  Passersby and the crowd that gathered were totally bedazzled! Imagine... with all the soaring gold prices, comes this 24 carat gold plated car. It took 5 artisans and over four months to plate gold on the car.

Anyways, the car was parked in a ‘No Parking’ zone. It had no registration and license plate and the Owners forgot to tax it. Because of all this, the police towed the car away. And now the Owners have 10 days to pay the fine! Didn’t they know any better or is it a publicity stunt?

China is predicted to become the world’s largest luxury goods market by 2020, accounting for 44% of world wide sales and bigger than the entire global market right now….
