LI NA FROM CHINA WORLD'S FIRST ASIAN TO WIN FRENCH OPEN WOMEN'S SINGLE

China's Li Na, 29, became Asia's first tennis player to win the Grand Slam, defeating champion Francesca Schiavone in the French Open women's single finals at Roland Gaross in Paris on 4th June.

"I am proud of my results especially because I have always worked so hard on the courts. Not so many Chinese players could be in the finals two times in a row, so yes, I am proud!" - Li Na said after her historical victory.
