PETRA KVITOVA WINS WIMBLEDON WOMEN'S SINGLES TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

21 year old Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic emerged as the winner of the Wimbledon Women's Singles Tennis Championship as she defeated Maria Sharapova on July 2. The young, talented and shy Petra Kvitova tried to put her victory into words, 'It was unbelievable feeling, for sure. I don't know. It's strange', she said. 'I think it's the best match I've ever played and I'm ready for my lap of honour'. 

'I'm so happy', the tearful champion said in an on-court interview. 'I was nervous but I had to focus on every point.'
