BELLE ISLE NATURE AND RECREATION PARK IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN

Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, is a beautiful nature and recreation park which is  2.5 mile long and 985 acres. Belle Isle  was designed before the advent of 20th century by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.
The island is located  near Detroit River on the U.S.-Canada border. The view in and around the Island park is absolutely breathtaking. The Island consists of conservatory, nature zoo, cycling paths, boat and yacht clubs, fishing piers, golf course, kids' play area, light house, bridge, fountain, golf course, nature trails, picnic shelters and beautiful woods.  The 'Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory' at the Belle Island  is a green house and botanical garden that houses a huge variety of plants, flowers and cactuses . Outside the conservatory is a magnificient garden, with beautiful flowers beds, attractively manicured bushes, a rose garden, and lily pond garden.
