TENKUU COSTUME SHOW WITH DANCE AND MUSIC- JAPAN CULTURE WEEK

What an amazing costume show by 'Be Japon' fashion line along with beautiful dance and musical performance using Japanese instruments (Hue flute, Koto - long zither, drums) and violin. The program 'Tenkuu' was quite a success. The fashion show was inspired and based on traditional Japanese Kimono, using lovely fabrics and colour schemes incorporating modern trends for casual, party wear as well as traditional. There was a small exhibition outside the auditorium, showcasing the Kimono, which ladies could even try out. There were decorative items, wall hanging and Japanese dolls. The cultural event was held as a part of Japan-Kuwait 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, which was organized by the Embassy of Japan in collaboration with National Council for Culture Arts and Letters. The event was held yesterday (November 15) at Abdulaziz Hussein Cultural Centre, Mishrif (next to Mishrif co-op). Here are some pictures I took.
