It's been twenty one years after the coalition forces ousted the Iraqi invaders. On February 26 1991, there was an important announcement made across the globe that brought much joy and happiness to the people; a sense of relief and peace. The Iraqis had surrendered and Kuwait's sovereignty was restored. Those who fought for the country, those who were killed in the war, the martyrs, the innocent people who suffered during the war, prisoners of war who went missing, cannot be forgotten.
The first picture is art work from last year's Kuwait National Day art exhibition at American University of Kuwait. The rest of the pictures are from the National Day parade held last year on Gulf Road.
