KROHN CONSERVATORY - BUTTERFLIES OF MOROCCO

We visited the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati, Ohio, to see the international butterfly show called, 'Butterflies of Morocco". Before we entered the conservatory, we passed by a small greenhouse, with a variety of plants. At the entrance to the conservatory, was a wheel cart with spices of Morocco. We then had to enter an enclosure where there were arts, crafts and textiles from Morocco. We had an amazing experience as we entered the conservatory where the exotic butterflies from Morocco were flying all around, some would be found sitting on the flowers unperturbed by the people around. The conservatory had beautiful flowers, plants and trees. The sound from the water falling from the fountain was so soothing and peaceful. Some of the butterflies would even come and sit on people. Can you imagine how delightful that was!!!. There were benches where people could sit and just enjoy watching the butterflies and the lush greenery. What fascinated me most was the cerulean blue butterflies that were bigger than the others. I don't know it's biological name, but those blue ones flew between people causing a lot of excitement especially amid children. It moved way to quickly for anyone to take a picture. I wasn't too happy with my photos of this magical butterfly. However, I did manage to capture with some blurring! Well, it does not end there. I have a pleasant surprise for you in my later post....

In the meantime, here are some photos from the show "Butterflies of Morocco".

The show is on until June 30, 2013. If any of you readers happen to be in Cincinnati, do attend this beautiful show.
