On Thursday evening, we visited the art exhibition by Matt Lamb at the American University of Kuwait, Salmiyah Campus. The exhibition featured 60 paintings by Matt Lamb that were unique and I quite liked the abstract work by him and the blend and use of colours in his paintings.
Along with the exhibition, in an effort to promote world wide peace, Matt Lamb Umbrellas for Peace project was held at the American University of Kuwait, that involved students and those interested to paint an umbrella with their concept of world peace. Matt Lamb self taught artist, scuptor, philosopher and peace activist, is an Irish-American born in Chicago in 1932, who had a successful career as an entrepreneur before a brush with death at the age of 51 led him to reevaluate his priorities, sell his businesses, and dedicate his life to art.
