KUWAIT NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION PARADE AT GULF ROAD

A grand National Day Parade will be held today Saturday 25 February, on Gulf Road from Kuwait Army Officers Club till the Kuwait Towers starting 3.30pm. The roads would be closed in that area so that the parade can take place. The public would stand or sit on the pavements on either side of the Gulf Road to enjoy the parade.  Various public and private institutions, sports cars, cartoon characters and music bands will be participating. Be there really early between 2 and 2.30 pm, to find a parking spot. Take your cameras, food, water, umbrellla, raincoat and perhaps a folder chair.   As you travel along the Gulf Road, police and security on the roads will direct you, due to road closure for today.   Try to park your car in a manner you can easily take it out once the parade is over. I had enjoyed last year's National day parade. It was well organized.

Skies looked grey since early morning and now it is raining! I hope the rains stop so the parade can take place smoothly and the public can enjoy the event.

AL PACINO IN JACK AND JILL DUNKACCINO ADVERTISEMENT

When I watched Jack and Jill comedy movie, where Adam Sandler dons the roll of both Jack and Jill, one of the things I enjoyed in the movie was Al Pacino in the Dukaccino ad. Watch the ad part. I really like how Al Pacino carried off his part in the ad towards the end of the movie. I mean, the whole ad is so nice! And hey, watch Jack and Jill. It's a fun movie!

HAPPY 51ST KUWAIT NATIONAL DAY

Kuwait celebrates it's 51st National Day today Saturday 25 February 2012. Wishing everyone in Kuwait a very happy National Day and a great time!

The event scheduled for today has been cancelled due to the rains. It will be held on Sunday 26 February. The timings will remain the same. Hope the weather would be clear.

WATANNA WE ADORE IT event promises to be a splendid show to celebrate the National day and Liberation day of Kuwait. It will be held in the outer open premises of the Regency Hotel in Tawoon Street, Al Bida (near Movenpick). 

Event date : Saturday February 25 and Sunday February 26; with two shows.

The show will include:

* Amazing 3 D projection mapping on the Regency Hotel Building depicting Kuwait's past and present history (7pm to 8pm and a repeat show at 9pm to 10pm - those who can't make it for the first show can try to make it for the second)

* Fireworks, sky lantern show and national songs (8pm to 9pm only)

I took these pictures during the Concours 2012 car and bike show last week. It's always interesting to see the paramotorists moving about in the sky. I suppose the ground beneath would offer quite an enjoyable view to a paramotorist.
