FRESH HERBS IN COOKING

Herbs are a gift of nature, valued for its flavour and medicinal benefits. When fresh herbs are added to your cooking, its gives an extraordinary impact, making the dish taste exotic, exuding delicious aromas. Herbs contain no calories or fat. Each herb has it's own distinct taste.  Use fresh herbs in your cooking and enhance the food's natural flavour, creating a livlier and tastier meal.  Dried herbs are more concentrated. Two teaspoon of dried herbs is equal to four teaspoons of fresh herbs.  Fresh herbs taste better anytime and should be added at the end of your cooking. Herbs are used in sauces, pizzas, salads, soups, pasta dishes, curries, stews, rice dishes, marinades, fish and meat dishes as well.

A variety of good quality organic fresh herbs like Basil, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Dill, Oregano, Chives, Parsley, Cilantro, Mint, Tarragon, Bay leaves are available in Lulu Hypermarket Qurain and Al Rai. Here are some pictures I took of the fresh herbs at Lulu, Qurain.
