DREAMS OF KUWAIT - A BEAUTIFUL ART EXHIBITION HELD AT AL M. GALLERY

We visited the beautiful art exhibition 'Dreams of Kuwait' at Al M. Gallery on Thursday. The paintings depicted the life, culture, tradition and heritage of  Kuwait in the past. The art exhibition took us on a beautiful journey into Kuwait's past...when life was simple and different. Most of the participating eminent artists are born in the 40's and 50's and is able to give an of how life in Kuwait around 40 to 50 years ago through their art work. Kuwait today is hugely different from the Kuwait of the 50's,  60's or 70's. Every painting had a story to tell about Kuwait's past, that highlights the great talent and abilities of the participating artists. The themes chosen, colour schemes and artistic expressions are amazing, as each artist has his own style through which he communicates with the viewers, sharing various stories and messages through art. There were oil paintings, acrylic, pastel and other medium of art. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the gallery, Mr. Khaled Al Asfour, who explained about the artists, paintings and the gallery. Its a beautiful gallery located in Salhia Complex (Gate 4, mezzanine 2, establishment 16).  The exhibition ends today, however being a Saturday, one can call and fix an appointment to attend it.
