On Wednesday evening we went to the Modern Art Museum to attend Thuraya Al Baqsami's Art Exhibition "60 Solo". Her work is quite unique that gives life to every theme. Her subject be it figurative or abstract, the the expressive and attractive designs, shapes and combination of colors in her art work has a captivating effect. I felt  a lot of her paintings had a story to tell about women, people, life and emotions which the viewer or  art enthusiast could relate to segments of  his/her  life and the world around him/her. Her art work is an expression of poetic beauty, moods, joy, love, pain, struggles and triumphs of life itself.

Thuraya Al Baqsami is a renowned artist and writer in Kuwait. She is a recipient of many national and international awards and prizes in the field of art and literature. Her work has been exhibited in Europe, Asia, U.S., China, Greece, Macedonia, Italy, France and so on. She is a writer of short stories and children's books and since 1970 she worked as journalist and illustrator for Kuwait magazines and newspapers.
