INTERNATIONAL SHOW JUMPING CHAMPIONSIP 2014 HELD AT KUWAIT RIDING CENTER

The International Show Jumping championship 2014 was held at the Kuwait Riding Center from 20 March to 22 March. We visited the event on Friday afternoon. There were so many international participants and amazing horses. We stayed for over an hour watching the show jumping. Before that, we walked by the stables where some of the horses popped their heads out. I was a bit skeptical of touching them. My husband being an animal lover could not stop patting a few of those horses. It was obvious the horses were enjoying the attention they got.

I passed by the warm up arena, where the participating horses and their riders were practising intently before their turn in the competition. I wondered if the horses wouldn't be tired by carrying the weight of the rider and all that practising doing the same thing over and over again, just before their turn to compete. But then again they say, practise makes perfect. I suppose a rider would know his horse well enough; whether his horse is cool while performing in the actual competition or if his horse tends to get a bit nervous while show jumping in the stadium. And the horse's practise and training time would revolve based on it's psyche. Glad we went for the event, it was beautiful to watch all those amazing horses perform.

The Kuwait Riding Center offers riding lessons. If you or your children are interested to learn horse riding, you could contact them.

Some photos I took at the International Show Jumping event yesterday.

YAY ! KUWEIGHT 64 HITS OVER ONE MILLION PAGE VIEWS

I remember a month ago telling my husband, very soon my blog will hit one million page views and quite honestly I forgot all about it. I've been so busy. I do a write up of events I visited or enjoyed, upload the photos and post and rush to other things I have to attend to. I do look at how many visits I got the previous day but haven't been keeping a tab on the page views. Don't ask why. And today, I opened my blog, wanting to write about the beautiful events I visited over the weekend and I glance at the page views and I couldn't believe what I saw, my humble little blog has surpassed one million page views, 1000877 to be exact when I took the screen shot a little while ago.  And the count keeps increasing. I was so excited, I called my husband and showed him my page views. He was excited for me too, seeing me all so thrilled. You know, my blog's 3rd anniversary was on 25th February.

There are a million blogs out there and there are so many interesting local blogs as well. Sometimes, I feel like a tiny fish in a big ocean of so many amazing fishes. I do end up wondering whether the contents of my blog posts are interesting to those who visit. The labor I put into my blog is purely out of the love of writing and photography, both being my favorite hobbies that have a therapeutical effect. I don't generate any income from my blog. My blog is a medium for me to share all things beautiful that add entertainment, fun, meaning, richness and peace in our busy lives that includes interesting cultural, musical and artistic events that happen in Kuwait, places to visit, besides positivity and wellness.

Thank you my dearest readers who visit my blog. You are special to me and hope you keeping visiting and enjoy all that I share.

Bless you!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

As Kuwait celebrates Mother's day today, let me wish all you lovely mothers a very Happy Mother's Day.

MOTHER'S DAY EXHIBITION AT HAMRA MALL

Last evening, I passed by the Mother's Day exhibition, 'What's the Occasion', at Hamra Mall. It was held at the exhibition hall in the Luxury Center. It was regular exhibition with stalls selling clothes, bags, jewelry, and personal care services and products. I was expecting something more like an entertainment program beside shopping, since it was a Mother's Day event. Yesterday was the last day.
