CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM VERSUS DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM

Those of you who have children would always be anxious to raise them well and teach them right from wrong and instill values. When your children do something wrong or conduct themselves in a manner that’s not acceptable, you would tend to correct them. But while correcting them, please bear in mind the importance of constructive criticism and avoid crushing or destructive criticism. Never yell, use harsh words, name calling or statements to put them down, rather select your words carefully, put some love into your voice, yet be firm to instill your message or values, so the child understands the difference between ‘acceptable behaviour’ and ‘unacceptable behaviour’ and still feel loved and wanted. A child is a little human being with all the feelings and emotions that we have. We wouldn’t like to be criticized harshly right?
