JAPANESE FESTIVAL 'MATSURI' AT SHARQ MALL

A beautiful event, Japanese festival "Matsuri' was held at the amphitheatre of Sharq Mall on Friday, November 25. The event was organized by the Japanese Embassy to commemorate the 50th anniversary celebrations of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Kuwait. My friend and I had a really nice time at the festival. The 'Matsuri' event comprised of :

1- The opening ceremony
2- Japanese Taiko drums concert
3- Japanese Folk Dance "Bon-Odori"
4- Exhibition of recovery from great disaster
5- Charity exhibition
6- Japanese culture workshop and exhibition Origami, Ikebana, Kimono

Towards the end, one of the most interesting part of the show was,  people from the audience were encouraged to join the dancers on the stage and they moved around in a circle following the light steps and hand movements as shown by the Japanese dancers. H.E. the Japanese Ambassador and his wife also joined them on stage. Here are some pictures from the event:
