I've always wondered, why iPAD does not have a smaller and lighter version which would be more convenient, to carry around, especially while travelling. Well, Apple fans, those of you who've wished for smaller iPADS, your wish will be fulfilled shortly. Apple is reported to be launching their mini i-PAD between October 10 and October 17. So, these two dates are something to look forward to. It's reported that Apple's Asian suppliers have been busy with mass production of the mini i-PAD. The mini iPAD is to be available in the shops from November 2. In the meantime, Amazon will launch its range of tablets in UK.
It's also been reported that tablet will have a 7.85-inch LCD display with a lower resolution that the present 9.7-inch iPad. As for detailed specifications there are tech magazines and sites that report various combinations of specs based on 'leaked information' . On the whole one would have to wait for the official announcement from Apple to know what the mini i-PAD has to offer. It might even called something different than 'mini' iPAD.
