Earth Hour 2012 a global event, will be observed by 5411 cities and towns across 147 countries and territories around the world on Saturday March 31, by switching off all unnecessary lights for an hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm and beyond at their local time. Earth Hour raises awareness of sustainability issues, global warming and reducing carbon emissions. This sort of awareness gives people a voice and encourage working together to create a better future for our planet. How can you do your bit? Well, participate by turning off your lights for an hour at 8:30 pm on March 31, 2012 in a collective display of commitment to a better future for the planet.
Kuwaiti Team for Global Warming is organizing Earth hour celebration in Kuwait where lights are going to be switched off by major landmarks in Kuwait, including several Malls, private and government establishments.
