A SURPRISE ON OUR TERRACE

On Saturday morning, technicians came to fix our central airconditioning and my husband went up to the terrace along with them. It's very rare we go up to the terrace of our apartment building. This time when my husband was up there, he was in for a surprise. He noticed a pigeon's nest with an egg. The pigeon was with her egg, but seeing my husband, she flew away. It was just this one egg in the nest. We wondered with the extreme summer temperatures of 50 degrees or above, how could the egg survive? Can it survive? It would be sad if the baby can't grow inside the egg due to the extreme heat. I am sure the mother bird would have returned to it's egg, once the technicians were done with their work.
